All items have a Status field. This field is used to control how the item can be used. The status of an item can only be changed by either its Owner or the Suggea administrator. The Owner can only change the status from and to a subset of the possible status values. The table below shows the possible values for this field, its meaning and how each value can be controlled.
A User will only normally see items which are in the Active, Locked or Under Review state.
An Owner of an item will still also see an item in other states in normal page views (such as Front Page). Archived, Deleted or Closed (currently Issues only) items will only be displayed and accessed from the User Content page.

Locked | The item is still in operation, but no changes or additions (e.g.
links) can be made to it.
It will count towards any count limit totals. The owner cannot edit or delete the item. Only the Administrator can change or unlock the item. |

Archived | The item has been archived and is no longer in operation. It may have
been archived on its own, or if an item it was dependent on was put
into Archived status
It will NOT count towards any count limit totals. Any dependents will also have been put into an Archived state The owner can still edit an item in this state. The owner can chose to delete an item in this state. It can return to operation if the item is returned to an Active state. Any previous dependents will NOT be automatically un-archived, and will have to be unarchived individually. |

Deleted | Item has been marked for deletion, but has not yet been permanently
deleted.
It will NOT count towards any count limit totals. The owner cannot edit the item. Deleted items may eventually be purged by the system. An owner cannot undelete an item. It may be returned to an Active state (undeleted) by the Administrator |

Expired |
The item is a Flyer link which has expired and is not currently operational.
It will NOT count towards any count limit totals. If not renewed in time, it may loose any allowed limit count is may use. The owner can edit the item in this state, and can set by to Active by Renewing. The administrator can also reactivate the item. |

Offline | The item has been teken offline and is not currently operational. This is
normally a temporary status.
It will still count towards any count limit totals. The Owner can edit the item in this state (e.g. To rectify an issue). The Owner or administrator can reactivate the item. |

Disabled | The item has been disabled and is not currently operational. This is
normally a temporary status. e.g. If a major issue has been raised
against the item.
It will still count towards any count limit totals. The owner can edit the item in this state (e.g. To rectify an issue), but cannot change its status. Only the administrator can reactivate the item. |

Closed | Currently this setting is only used for and valid for an Issue.
The item has been Closed and is not currently operational. This is normally set by the Owner. The Owner cannot edit the item in this state. Only the administrator can reactivate the item. |
