New Entries can be created using the following methods:
- As a new content Entry for an existing Location.
- As a new Solution Entry for an existing Entry.
New content Entry for an existing Location
This method will add a new Entry to the current Location shown in the main Suggea Browser view.
To add an Entry using this method:
- Go to the Location front view of a Location you want to add the Entry to.
- If the criteria for adding Entries to that Location is met (see Criteria below), the Got One button will be shown.
- If the criteria is NOT met (see Criteria below), hovering over the Information Icon will give a description of why.
- Click on the Got One button to add an Entry for the Location
- You will be asked to select the required Type and Title-Summary for the new Entry. You can also optionally provide the Detail field for the Entry at this time.
- The new Entry will be created, along with an initial Location Link to the current Location.
- The new Entry will have all other default field values set (see Fields).
- The Entry can then be edited and changed as required.
Criteria
The following criteria must be met before adding a new Entry for an existing Location.
- The Location must be in an Active state.
- The Entry Link Lock for the Location must not be set (check unmarked).
- If you are not the Owner of the Location, Entry Link Add Public for the Location must be set (check marked).
- The Entry Link Limit for the Location must not have been reached.
- If Entry is a Flyer, any User Flyer Location limits must not be exceeded adding the new Entry.
- If Entry is a Flyer, any Location Entry/Flyer ratios must not be exceeded adding the new Entry.
New Solution Entry for an existing Entry
This method will add a new Entry as a Solution to an existing Entry.
To add an Entry using this method:
- Got to the Entry View of an Entry you want to add the Solution to.
- Select the Solutions tab in the Entry View.
- If the criteria for adding Solutions to that Entry is met (see Criteria below), the Solution Entry button will be shown.
- If the criteria is NOT met (see Criteria below), hovering over the Information Icon will give a description of why.
- Click on the Solution Entry button to add a new Entry as a Solution for the Entry
- You will be asked to select the required Solution Type and Title-Summary for the new Solution. You can also optionally provide the Detail field for the Entry at this time.
- Note: The Type set using this method will be used for the Solution, the new Entry will be set to a default Type of Entry.
- The new Entry will be created, along with the Solution Link to the current Entry.
- The new Entry will have a default Type of Entry, and have all other default field values set (see Fields).
- The new Entry can then be edited and changed as required.
- Note: The new Entry will not have any Location Links defined, as it is currently only a Solution Entry. If the criteria is met, the new Entry could be linked to a Location later. The Entry Type will be Entry by default, but this can be changed by the Entry Owner. That will NOT impact the Solution Type set during this process.
Criteria
The following criteria must be met before adding a new Solution Entry for an existing Entry.
- The Entry must be in an Active state.
- The Solution Lock for the Entry must not be set (check unmarked).
- If you are not the Owner of the Entry, Solution Add Public for the Location must be set (check marked).
- The Solution Limit for the Entry must not have been reached.
- If Solution Entry is a Flyer, any User Flyer Solution limits must not be exceeded adding the new Solution.
- If Solution Entry is a Flyer, any Entry Solution/Flyer ratios must not be exceeded adding the new Solution.
